At 42 pounds, CJ looks just like a smallish chocolate Lab mix, but his former owner says he's really a unique mix of this, that, and the other. CJ's human is terminally ill. Although it breaks her heart, she has given him up so that he can be placed in a new, loving home, as she is no longer able to care for him properly. He really seems to have a Labrador Retriever-type demeanor; he likes to play with his soft toys, enjoys a game of tug, and will run after a stick or ball if you throw it for him (although he's NOT claiming to be a retriever). CJ knows "sit", walks well enough on a leash, and responds to treats for training. So far he has gotten along fine with other adult male dogs we've introduced him to; we don't know how he is with cats. He's affectionate, housetrained, crate trained, and available for adoption! C.J. requires a securely fenced yard minimum 4' tall fencing, please.
